I enjoy having these around to garnish drinks. I especially like them in my Negroni. They are easy to make but, definitely take up some time. I usually make them on a day I will be around the house getting other things done. I always use blood oranges but will add some different types depending on what they have at the store.
6 oranges, or blood oranges
Preheat oven to 200℉
With the rinds on, very thinly slice the oranges. Line 2 baking sheets with non-stick baking mats. Place the orange slices on the sheets and bake for three to four hours. It could take longer, depending on how thin you sliced your oranges. If they do not feel dry and crisp, you will need to let them cook a bit longer.
If you have a food dehydrator, you can also use that. Follow the directions as stated on your dehydrator.
Let cool and place in an airtight container.
Just Salt It, and enjoy!
