I enjoy holiday drinks, but often they are too sweet for me. This year I wanted to include some of our homemade hard cider as well as a sweet dessert wine that I had on hand. 

 

It comes together quickly, it is beautiful, and also makes me feel like I am having a fancy holiday drink which is always fun!

 

1 one-inch slice of orange zest

13 cranberries, save 3 for garnish

2 one-inch pieces of crystallized ginger, finely chopped

2 oz. Aperol 

2 oz. Moscato

3 dashes orange bitters or cranberry bitters

3 oz. hard cider

Rosemary sprig for garnish

 

Muddle the zest, 10 cranberries, and ginger together. Add the Aperol, Moscato, and bitters. Strain the drink into an ice-filled glass and top with the hard cider. Stir it and garnish with a rosemary sprig and 3 cranberries.
