I was perusing through one of my Martha Stewart cookbooks, and it inspired me to try a new sangria recipe. I switched it up a bit, and it turned out fabulous. We love sangria in the summer out by the pool. It is a great drink to make and to serve a lot of guests. It is so refreshing. I like adding in frozen fruits instead of ice, so it does not get too watered down. Chilling all the liquid ingredients ahead of time helps to hold the chill. If you do prefer serving it over ice, keep the ice on the side and let your guests individually add it to their glass.
You can make this with red, white, or rosé and change up the fruits to your liking.
8 oz. grapes, seedless and any color
2 bottles of rosé wine, chilled
½ cup grapefruit juice, chilled
½ cup cranberry juice, chilled
⅓ cup superfine sugar
4 oz. silver tequila, chilled
Place the grapes on a baking sheet in a single layer and freeze overnight.
Combine the remaining ingredients in a glass pitcher, just before serving add the frozen grapes.
* I use 100% cranberry juice, but you can also use cranberry juice cocktail if you would like it a little sweeter.
Just Salt It, and enjoy!
