If you love a rich, delicious, hot chocolate, then this one is for you. So easy to make, and it will warm you up on a cold winter day.

 

Often hot chocolate drinks you order at cafes are super sweet and not that chocolaty, but this is a whole different experience. This is all about the chocolate with a bit of sweetness to make it absolute perfection. 

 

Yield 1 serving

 

1½ cups milk

2½ tsp unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tsp sugar

¼ tsp vanilla

Marshmallows, optional 

 

In a small pot, add the milk and heat on medium-low. Stir while heating the milk. Once it is hot, add the cocoa powder, sugar, vanilla, and whisk it all together. 

 

Remove the pan from the heat and pour the milk into a mug. Garnish with marshmallows and serve.
