I enjoy the bitter flavor of Cynar on its own, but this cocktail adds a whole other dimension to the spirit. The orange juice gives it a little sweetness, and the soda water gives it just enough bubbles to feel like you are drinking a complex cocktail.  

 

Yield 1 drink 

 

Ice

2 oz. Cynar

1 oz. dry vermouth

1 oz. fresh orange juice

Chilled club soda or seltzer

Large orange zest for garnish

 

In an ice-filled glass, add Cynar, vermouth, orange juice, and stir. Next, top with club soda and garnish with a large orange zest.

 

Sip and enjoy!
